Marion County woman’s murder trial pushed back
FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The trial of a Marion County woman charged in the death of her father has been pushed back until the court’s June term.
Media outlets report that Kristyn Palmer waived her right to go to trial during the court’s current term. Marion County Circuit Court Judge Michael Aloi granted a motion on Tuesday to move Palmer’s trial to the June term.
Palmer is charged with first-degree murder in the 2011 death of Everett Wilson at her home in Baxter. She also is charged with forging and cashing checks from Wilson’s bank account after he was killed.
Palmer’s husband and co-defendant, Michael Palmer, was convicted of first-degree murder last week. The jury recommended mercy, meaning he would be eligible for parole after serving 15 years.
