Frampton leads Poca past Buffalo 5-3

Noah Frampton went 2 for 4 with a double and a pair of RBIs as Poca earned a 5-3 prep baseball win Friday night at Buffalo.

Matt Chandler also doubled for the Dots (2-2). Laythen Good had a pair of hits for Buffalo (4-3) and John Fisher drove in two runs.

Ripley 4, Sissonville 3: Remy Boyce scored the game-winning run on an error in the bottom of the seventh for host Ripley. Cody Pittenger had an RBI for the Vikings (6-3). Dominic Walker lifted a pair of solo home runs for the Indians and Josh Landis also hit a solo shot.


Point Pleasant 7, Scott 5: Scott’s Samantha Duffey crushed a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh but the Skyhawks’ rally fell short as they lost to Point Pleasant in the Chapmanville Invitational Tournament. Karissa Cochran went 3 for 4 with an RBI and Rebekah Darst added two hits and two RBIs for the Big Blacks (4-2). Ally Brown went 2 for 3 with two doubles for the Skyhawks.
