Charles Edward Estep, 77, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston.
He was a supervisor in road construction until his retirement. Charles served in the U.S. Army and was a very active member of the American Legion Logan Post No. 19.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Allie Estep; brother, Robert Estep; and great granddaughter, Chelsie Dawn Estep Barker.
Charles is survived by companion and life partner, Linda Estep; children, Pattie Estep and Mary Renick; step-son, Rick McCoy; brother, Jimmy Estep; granddaughters, Nicole and Thisha; great-granddaughters, Khloe and Peyton; and very dear friend, Martha Ryan.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 13 at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Brounland Cemetery with military graveside conducted by the Alum Creek VFW Post No. 4768. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
