Two former Mingo County officials now are set for June sentencings.
A federal judge recently continued the sentencing hearing for former Mingo Prosecutor Michael Sparks to 1:30 p.m. June 16. Sparks originally was set for a Thursday sentencing.
Former Mingo Circuit Judge Michael Thornsbury, who originally was set for a Monday sentencing, will be sentenced a week before Sparks on June 9.
Thornsbury pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge for his role in a scheme to stop a man from speaking to the FBI about the alleged drug activity by since-slain Sheriff Eugene Crum.
Sparks pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge for his role in the scheme.
