If internationally-acclaimed Indian classical music vocalist Ashwini Bhide Deshpande ever decides she wants to give her vocal cords a rest, she’s got a pretty good fallback career: she also holds a master’s degree in microbiology and a doctorate in biochemistry. In the meantime, her voice will be on full display Friday when she, tabla player Sanjay Deshpande and harmonium player Tanmay Deochake give a 7:30 p.m. concert at the India Center, 800 Green Road. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door, with children age 16 and under admitted free. A pre-concert supporters dinner, which also includes concert admission, is $50. Call 304-255-0293.
