The 13th District of the House of Delegates stretches across northern Putnam and Mason counties and into a corner of Jackson. In the Democratic primary in that district, we like Rosalee Juba-Plumley and Josh Martin for the two seats.
Juba-Plumley, a lawyer who lives on a farm in Poca, speaks eloquently of the importance of education.
Martin, also a lawyer in Poca and the son of the late Dale Martin, who was a longtime delegate, wants local classrooms to have more control.
Both candidates are gun owners who believe in reasonable gun control to prevent crime and support protections for clean water. They are knowledgeable candidates who would represent West Virginians well, siding with policies that help the district and the state nurture healthier families and communities.
