BECKLEY, W.Va. – Two southern West Virginia residents have been sentenced for forging oxycodone prescriptions.
Raymond Duncan, 31, of Bud was sentenced to 10 months in prison Thursday in federal court in Beckley. Jeremy Blankenship, 38, of Crab Orchard was sentenced to three years’ probation.
Federal prosecutors say the men took stolen prescription pads to be filled at Beckley-area pharmacies.
Duncan previously pleaded guilty to obtaining oxycodone by fraud. Blankenship was arrested during his attempt to have a forged prescription filled. He pleaded guilty to attempting to obtain oxycodone by fraud.
