Retired federal employees
National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), Chapter 0166, will meet at 10 a.m. Friday at the South Charleston Public Library, 312 4th Ave., South Charleston. Discussion will be on the “Future of NARFE Recommendations.” For more information, contact Anna Boggs at 304-343-6499.
The Handlan Chapter of the Brooks Bird Club will sponsor a bird walk at 8 a.m. Sunday at the Spring Hill Cemetery. Meet at the parking area near the main office.
Trail club hike
Kanawha Trail Club will sponsor a hike Sunday in Nitro. Meet at 1:30 p.m. to carpool from Ohio and Randolph streets. The hike is approximately 3 1/2 miles on a moderate trail with some steep hills.
The Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Retirees will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Monday at Bob Evans in Kanawha City. Call David Radford at 304-342-1095.
South Charleston Public Library will offer a Mini-Scrapbooking Class for adults at 6 p.m. Monday at the library, 312 Fourth Ave., South Charleston. Laura Peters will host the class. Registration is required and space is limited. Call the library at 304-744-8808 to register.
Community flea market
The Mary C. Snow West Side Elementary School’s Staff and Community Flea Market will be held from 8 a.m. to noon May 17 in the school cafeteria. Vendor tables are available for rental for $12. For table reservations or questions, call the school at 304-348-1902.
