WEIRTON, W.Va. – A Weirton man has pleaded guilty to killing a neighbor who tried to intervene in a domestic dispute.

Media outlets report that Adam Barnhart, 19, will spend at least 25 years in prison.

Barnhart pleaded guilty earlier this week in circuit court to second-degree murder and two counts of wanton endangerment. He received a 40-year sentence on the murder charge and five years on each wanton endangerment count.

Prosecutors say Barnhart shot Frank Tulock, 35, four times with a handgun in September 2013. Tulock was shot as he tried to intervene in a dispute between Barnhart and his girlfriend. Tulock was pronounced dead at the scene.
