Willis Wayne Ferguson of Branchland, W.Va., was born June 24, 1967, and passed away May 15, 2014 at the age of forty six years, ten months and eleven days, at home surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Willis Ferguson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Paralee and Dennis Yeager.
He was a foreman at Tri State Pipe Line before his illness and was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union No. 132.
He is survived by his companion, Alice Johnston; mother, Nancy Ferguson; two sisters, Rhonda Ferguson and Rebecca (Leo) Alberts; one brother, Robert (Kim) Ferguson. He is also survived by a special extended family, Rosemary (Robert) Edwards, America (Roger) Davidson and Dempsey ( Nancy) Yeager, a very special dog, Jake; six special nieces; four special nephews; and a host of cousins, friends and co-workers all of whom will miss him very deeply. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Sunday, May 18 at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, with the Rev. J.R. Nelson and Dempsey Yeager officiating. Interment will follow at Yeager Cemetery, Branchland. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin.
