ROME, Ga. — The West Virginia Power exploded for six runs in the ninth inning to beat the Rome Braves 11-6 on Wednesday afternoon to take the final game of the three-game series and two of three against the Braves.
The Power (19-33) scored those six runs on four hits and two Braves errors. West Virginia had scored just one run over the game’s first five innings, JaCoby Jones’ sixth home run of the season in the first. Yhonathan Barrios (2-3) earned the win in two innings of relief.
The Power heads to Greensboro on Thursday for a four-game series before returning to Appalachian Power Park on Monday to host the Kannapolis Intimidators.
