Surplus property agency to offer extended hours Monday
The State Agency for Surplus Property is continuing with its special summer extended hours promotion this Monday.
In April, the agency — which is responsible for selling off used and surplus items for state agencies — announced it would offer extended evening hours on the first Monday of each month through August.
The longer hours were designed to give working West Virginians an opportunity to stop by after work.
“Because many of our customers work the same hours as we do, (the agency) wanted to give everyone the same opportunity to enjoy the bargains that can be realized through our state agency,” said Elizabeth Perdue, manager of the surplus property agency.
The agency’s Dunbar warehouse will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on June 2, July 7 and Aug. 4.
The warehouse, located at 2700 Charles Ave. in Dunbar, is normally open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call the agency at (304) 766-2626 or visit www.WVSurplus.gov.
