The New Orleans Saints and The Greenbrier resort announced on Monday the schedule for the NFL team’s training camp visit to White Sulphur Springs.
The Saints will open their training camp on July 24, when players report to the resort for physicals and meetings and undergo strength and conditioning tests. The camp will close on Aug. 13.
According to a release, the Saints will begin on-field workouts in a non-padded practice session on July 25, a Friday, from 8:50 to 11:40 a.m. That will be followed by a walkthrough from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
The team will hold 20 practices at The Greenbrier’s new training camp facilities, which include three practice fields and a 55,000-square foot multi-purpose building equipped with meeting, weight and locker rooms, etc.
Practices will be open in their entirety to pre-approved media and most sessions are open to fans to some degree.
Information will be available on that via www.neworleanssaints.com. Following each practice, Saints players will sign autographs for fans “if weather, time and circumstances” permit, according to the release.
There will be no admission to fans wishing to visit, but there is limited bleacher seating “on a first-come, first-served basis.” An admission ticket will be issued upon entrance to the facility.
Parking will be located just east of The Greenbrier. Free parking will be provided by the city of White Sulphur Springs.
The only way into the facility, though, will be via on-site transportation. The fee for that will be $5 per adult and $2 for children.
Concessions will be available for purchase on site. Neither previously purchased food nor drink may be taken in.
