Marshall County man killed in fire identified

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office has identified a Marshall County man who was killed in a weekend house fire.

The office said Monday that Jack Snyder, 63, died Sunday as a result of the fire.

The body will be sent to the medical examiner in Morgantown for an autopsy.

The fire occurred Sunday afternoon.

The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined. The office says the fire likely was heating related.
