WVU professor gets Fulbright opportunity in Norway
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – A West Virginia University political science professor is traveling to Norway later this year to complete research at the Peace Research Institute of Oslo.
Officials with the Morgantown school say Cyanne Loyle was recently awarded a Fulbright grant for the trip.
Loyle has been studying tactics used by governments during conflicts to help end and prevent them from happening again. Loyle hopes the research will ultimately help governments around the world prevent conflicts
She will leave in August and spend the fall semester analyzing and writing up findings in Norway. Three academic articles and a book with case study information are planned.
More than 65 faculty and staff at WVU have earned Fulbright grants since 1968.
