‘An Enemy of the People’
The New Brooklyn Theater has three remaining performances of Henrik Ibsen’s “An Enemy of the People,” which is performed on a floating stage in the Kanawha River and features a discussion on the West Virginia water crisis after each production. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Sunday at the Porters Hollow public access dock next to the Frontier building in Kanawha City. Admission is free, but tickets are required. Freekbass CD release party
Freekbass will celebrate the release of his new album, “Everybody’s Feelin’ Real,” with a 10 p.m. show Friday at the Empty Glass, 410 Elizabeth St. The album features contributions from members of Bootsy’s Rubberband, Parliament-Funkadelic and the Trey Anastasio Band. The fifth annual BridgeFest at the Bridge Road Shops in South Hills runs 6 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. It includes music by The Fort Hillbillies, a TOMS shoe painting event, climbing wall, pie eating contest and children’s activities. The Taste of Bridge Road features Bridge Road Bistro, Husson’s Pizza, Lola’s, Sarah’s Bakery, the South Hills Market & Cafe and Wheelhouse.

Mainstream rock band Hoobastank will perform at Muncheez Bar & Grill, 2825 Harper Road, Beckley, at 8 p.m. July 3. Local rock acts Motion Theatre, Beyond Beyond and My Name is Nicholas open.
