Kathy Ann Bates, 58, of Fairbanks, Alaska, died Jan. 20, 2014, at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born Nov. 6, 1955, in Okinawa, Japan to the late Richard and Dorothy Bates. Kathy grew up and lived in Charleston before moving to Alaska, where she had lived for the last 20 years. Her family states, "This community has been home for her for many years, we appreciate the gracious love and hospitality that this town has given her."
Kathy is survived by her sons, Jeremy (Jennifer) Hall of Columbus, Ohio, and Jonathan Hall of Fairbanks; husband, Robert Dilimone of Fairbanks; stepdaughters, Danielle Dilimone of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Leah Dilimone of Zephyrhills, Fla.; grandchildren, Nathan (Caitlynn) Hall of Eugene, Ore., Amanda Hall of Columbus, Ohio, Hannah Hall of Columbus, Ohio, Emily Hall of Columbus, Ohio, and Michaela Hall of Wasilla, Alaska; great-grandson, Landon Hall of Eugene, Ore.; brother, Rick (Illiana) Bates of Atlanta, Ga.; and sister, Sandra (Eugene) Williford of Tampa, Fla.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her nephew, Shelby Williford.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 30, at the Lumberport Lions Cemetery, 1301-1373 Main St., Lumberport, W.Va.
