St. Albans museum

The St. Albans Historical Society will have an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at their museum at 404 Fourth Ave. Bring old St. Albans photos to be scanned and view the hundreds of displays. The society also will open the historic Morgan’s Kitchen from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, MacCorkle Avenue, St. Albans, across from Parkway Flea Market. Built in 1846, it is full of vintage 19th-century cookware. No admission charge.

Blood drive

Golden Living Center Riverside is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. Monday at 6500 MacCorkle Ave., St. Albans. Call 304-768-0002 to schedule an appointment; walk-ins welcome. Free limited-edition T-shirts will be available while supplies last.

Road rally/car show

Daymark Inc. will host its second annual Road Rally and Car Show July 13. Road rally begins at 1 p.m. in the swimming pool parking lot at Kanawha State Forest. Participant teams will consist of a driver and a navigator. Teams will receive clues to guide them from one checkpoint to the next. Although sponsorships are not required to participate, the team that collects the most team sponsorships will win an exotic car driving experience at Charlotte Motor Speedway. A participant reception will immediately follow the race. The cost to enter the rally is $40 per car. A valid driver’s license and car registration is required. All funds raised will benefit Daymark Inc., a local charity for youth in crisis.
