Charleston Rotary announces new officers, appointments
The Rotary Club of Charleston has announced its board of directors and committee appointments for the new fiscal year.
The board members (including officer positions) are:
Dill Battle, president; Ben Beakes, president-elect; Di Long, secretary; Mark Pendleton, treasurer; Patricia Shumann; Katie Capito; Diana Sole Walko; Sky Kershner; Allan McVey; and Rachelle Beckner.
The committee chairpersons elected for the coming year are:
Allen McVey, community service committee; Jerry Roueche, program committee; Rachelle Beckner, marketing committee; Pat Schuman, fellowship committee; Kate Capito, membership committee; Jim Long, classifications committee; Diana Sole Walko, international committee; Di Long, foundation committee; and Sky Kershner, orientation committee.
The Rotary Club of Charleston will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2015.
In the last year, the club has donated more than $13,000 to local charities and financially supported Rotary International’s global initiative to eradicate polio and its work to provide better living conditions and educational opportunities in Northern Ghana.
