Richard O. McGhee II, 59, of Dunbar, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 12, 2014. He was born in Hinton on August 24, 1954.
He graduated from Dunbar High School and attended West Virginia State University. Richard was a master designer for Union Carbide and retired with 37 years of service. At the time of his death, he was working as a contractor for CDI Corporation. Richard had a great interest in classic cars and was the proud owner of three Ford Mustangs. He was a member of Dunbar First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his parents, Richard O. McGhee, Sr. and Marie Jo McGhee of Dunbar; daughters, Kristina Marie Dodd of Dunbar and Brandi McGhee of Dunbar; sons, Jeremy McGhee of Charleston and Nicholas McGhee of Dunbar; one grandson, Devyon Dodd of Dunbar; and two close friends, Fred and Jason Moore.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 8 at Dunbar First Baptist Church with the Rev. Chester Bird and the Rev. Doyle Smith officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Dunbar First Baptist Church.
With God there are no endings, only endless beginnings.
