Climate lobby meeting
The monthly meeting of the WV Citizens’ Climate Lobby will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1600 Kanawha Blvd. Enter the parking lot from Elizabeth Street and enter the building through the double doors under the canopy. A conference call will begin at 1 p.m. with the national CCL. Jim Probst will describe the national CCL lobby conference in Washington, D.C. Any citizen interested in building political will to solve the global warming crisis is invited to attend. How to manage diseases
The Putnam Aging Program and PalliativeCare Center are conducting a six-week course on how to manage heart disease, lung disease, kidney disease or another illness. The course will meet from 10 a.m. to noon on Mondays starting July 14 at the Putnam Aging office, 2558 Winfield Road in St. Albans. For more information or to register, please call 304-941-1950.
Putnam County Parks and Recreation Commission is hosting a photography class from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 12, 19 and 26 in the Community Center by the Wave Pool.
