Roundup: Buffalo’s Hoshor wins junior golf event

Cory Hoshor of Buffalo fired a 1-over-par 71 to win the low round of the day as well as the boys 17-18 division at the Callaway Junior Tour Tuesday at Marietta Country Club in Marietta, Ohio.

Marco Oliverio of Bridgeport claimed the 15-16 age division with a 74. Alexander Giatras of Charleston was the winner in the 13-14 age division (74), while Trey Blain won the 12-and-under division (88).

Jackie Cunningham won the girls low round of the day along with the 15-18 Girls division, shooting a 77, and Grace Smith took home the 10-14 girls trophy (111).

LITTLE LEAGUE: St. Albans tallied five runs in the top of the fifth inning to score a 10-3 win over Sophia in the Little League state tournament Monday. St. Albans posted seven hits in the contest.
