Thomas A. Denny

Thomas A. Denny, of Westerville, Ohio, formerly of Nitro, WV, died peacefully on July 25, 2014 at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital. A retiree of Carbide in South Charleston, WV, he was a proud U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II and more than 20 years in the Army and Air Force Reserves. He was preceded in death by his parents, Okla and Bud Finney; granddaughter, Lisa Moreland; and son-in-law, Roger Hall.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ellen of Westerville; daughters, Joanne Hall of Centerburg, Ohio and Tommie (Gary) Ramsey of Powell, Ohio; grandchildren, Richard Wood, Roger Lee (Tiffany) Hall and Ben Ramsey; and three great-grandchildren, Taylor and Erin Looney and Dalton Hall. Tom also had many friends at the Nitro Senior Center where he attended six days a week for many years and the Village of Westerville Retirement Center.
