More security needed at state Capitol
I like my state legislators, Senators Prezioso and Beach along with Delegates Mike Caputo, Linda Longstreth and Tim Manchin. I have known these individuals for a long time because I’ve been going to Charleston to lobby the Legislature for the past 20 years, and I feel they do a very good job for our state.
I have noticed, sitting in the gallery when our legislators are voting on bills, some people in the gallery are happy and some are very angry. As a matter of fact, this gave me a frightening thought. There is very little security at the Capitol. Anyone can walk in off the street and go to a legislator’s office or to the gallery unnoticed. We need security at the doors of the Capitol for the safety of our politicians and citizens.
