ST. ALBANS, W.Va. — St. Albans police have made an arrest in connection with an early-morning stabbing that sent one person to the hospital.
According to a Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatcher, the stabbing was reported at 602 Washington St. a little past 12:40 a.m. Tuesday.
Capt. James Agee, of the St. Albans Police Department, said Jeremy Martin, 29, fled to a neighbor’s apartment and called 911 to say his roommate had stabbed him in the chest. Officers arriving at the apartment found several fresh wounds on Martin’s body, including a puncture wound near the center of his chest, Agee said. Martin was taken to CAMC General Hospital.
Pedro Munos, 32, originally from Houston and formerly of Montgomery, was arrested in Martin’s apartment and charged with malicious wounding, Agee said.
Agee said police are unsure what led to the stabbing, but both men appeared to be intoxicated.
