PHILIPPI, W.Va. – Crews are expected to work through the weekend to clear a train derailment in Barbour County.
According to media reports, the derailment occurred Friday near Tygart Junction. The coal train was hauling nearly 100 cars and at least nine jumped the tracks.
There were no injuries.
Appalachian & Ohio Railroad said it expected to reopen the track on Sunday. No one could be reached by telephone at the rail company on Saturday.
