Fruit workshops for farmers to be held in Rainelle
RAINELLE, W.Va. – Farmers who want to increase production of grapes, strawberries or other small fruits can attend free workshops this week in Rainelle.
The workshops are scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday at the Fruits of Labor Cafe and Bakery. West Virginia State University Extension Service is hosting the training sessions.
Extension agent Brad Cochran says in a news release that small fruit production is potentially huge for West Virginia agriculture, due to a diversity of locations for growing.
