Audiences have three more chances to see the Charleston Light Opera Guild’s production of “The Wedding Singer,” which Gazette reviewer Autumn D.F. Hopkins called “lighthearted and riotously entertaining.” Based on the 1998 Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore comedy of the same name, the musical follows the romantic journeys Robbie Hart (Scott Jarrell) and Julia Sullivan (Lauren Meyer) take to end up in each other’s arms. The production will appeal to all ages, but with the plentiful ‘80s references, music and fashions, “the real charm of ‘The Wedding Singer’ rests in the nostalgia many of us hold for those burgeoning days of self-discovery, arguably bad music and really tacky fashion,” said Hopkins. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Civic Center Little Theater. Tickets are $20. Call 304-343-2287 or visit www.charlestonlightoperaguild.org.
