Thelma L. Anania, 80, of Charleston, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Oak Ridge Center.
She was born Dec. 22, 1933, in Davin, a daughter of the late Hugh Lusk and Irma Harless Ashley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Anania.
Thelma was a 1951 graduate of Man High School, where she was a National Honor student and very active in her alumni association. She and her husband owned several local businesses. She later became a paralegal for R. Joe Zak Law Firm for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by three sons, James "Jim" Boyrer and wife, Kathy, of Lewisburg, Michael Anania and wife, Nittaya, and Dean Anania, all of Charleston; four grandchildren, Laura and Elizabeth Boyrer and Joey and Dino Anania; two sisters, Joyce Burgess of Scott Depot and Becky Young of Barboursville; one brother, David Ashley of Cincinnati.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Wilson Funeral Home, 420 Lee St. W., Charleston, with the Rev. Dale Elwell officiating. Entombment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park, Charleston.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
