Trail club hikes
Kanawha Trail Club Hike will sponsor a hike Saturday at Williams River. Meet at 8 a.m. to carpool from Ohio and Randolph streets. Hike approximately 10 miles — out/back from Cranberry campground in Monongahela National Forest on a gated road along the river. Bring water and lunch. Hike as far as you want. The club will also sponsor a hike Sunday at Red House Park. Meet at 1:30 p.m. to carpool from Ohio and Randolph streets. Re-group at Nitro Park and Ride. It is a short, 1 1/4-mile hike on the Esther and Norman Walter Memorial Nature Park. Then travel to a nearby farm for an additional hike of 2 miles.
Unity of Kanawha Valley will sponsor a Laughter Yoga class with Janet Prince at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the church, 804 Myrtle Road, corner of Bridge and Myrtle roads. The class includes stretching, rhythmic clapping and plenty of laughter. The class is on a love offering basis only. Give what you desire. Laughter Yoga is held on the second Saturday of each month.
Dreamland Dog Day
Dreamland Pool in Kenova will open its pool from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for dogs on Sunday with proceeds benefiting the Cabell-Wayne Animal Shelter. Although the dog swim is free, pet owners and spectators are asked to donate at least $5 to benefit the shelter.
The Libbey-Owens-Ford Retirees will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Monday at Bob Evans, Kanawha City. For information, call 304-342-1095.
