Gwendolyn Jane Saulton, 53, of St. Albans, passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014.
She was born March 28, 1961, in Charleston, a daughter of Raymond Whitlock Jr. and Nancy Whitlock Hall, who preceded her in death.
She was employed with West Virginia State University for over 25 years. She loved gardening, reading and cooking. Her home was open to everyone. She was a TRUE family lady and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by sister, Cheryl Wooten and her husband, Dale, of Tornado; brother, Raymond Gerald Whitlock III of St. Albans; daughter, Kristi Saulton of Teays Valley; grandchildren, Keller Saulton and Marcus and Ella McDonald Saulton; nephews, James Wooten and Trevor Dolan; nieces, Jacy Charlse Whitlock, Emmeleigh Jo Whitlock, Lillian Clifton and Alissa Clifton; great-niece, Luna Rae Wooten; and a host of close friends.
Celebration of Gwendolyn's life will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, St. Albans, with HR Whittington as Celebrant. Gathering of family and friends will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
