Lucille "Genny Walker" Bledsoe, 88, of Charleston, passed away Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
She was retired office manager for Rish Equipment Co., McJunkin Corporation and the state of West Virginia. Lucille was a member of Elkview Church of Christ. She enjoyed poetry, politics and, most of all, family and home.
She was born to the late Hal C. Adkins and Nora Adkins on Feb. 25, 1926.
She is survived by sons, Gary Walker of St. Albans, Larry Walker of Charleston and Timothy Walker of Nitro; sisters, Gertrude Hall of California and Elouise Carte of Elkview; granddaughter, Misty "Walker" Harris and husband, Michael; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Blake and Jonathan Harris.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV 25311.
Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at Hafer Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Hafer Funeral Home.
