FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Marion County school officials are investigating parents’ complaints that their children were injured while participating in a class activity.
Schools Superintendent Gary Price tells The Times-West Virginian that two North Marion High School teachers involved in the activity are on leave pending the investigation’s conclusion.
Parents told WBOY-TV that students were tied together during a team building exercise, causing various injuries and leaving grass stains on their clothes.
Price says the investigation is being conducted by North Marion’s principal. The findings will be submitted to the Marion County Board of Education.
