Police find marijuana plants in Fayette home

FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. — Fayette County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man after finding 26 large marijuana plants worth about $65,000 in his home.

Herbert Wayne Bowyer, 62, of Lavista, turned himself in the day after the plants were found, according to a news release.

Bowyer was arrested on charges of cultivation or marijuana, arraigned in magistrate court and released on $20,000 bail.
