RIPLEY, W.Va. — Nearly 50 people were arrested during a warrant sweep Wednesday night and Thursday morning in Jackson County, according to police.
Sheriff Tony Boggs said most were drug-related arrests for “anything from heroin to marijuana and everything in between.”
Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Ripley Police Department and Ravenswood Police Department, with help from the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, conducted the investigations over the last several months.
Those agencies, along with West Virginia State Police and U.S. Marshals, made the arrests.
