Feds charge Postal employee with issuing money order without payment

A U.S. Postal Service employee in Wyoming County is facing a federal charge of issuing a money order without receiving payment for it first.

Janet K. Martin, of New Richmond, was charged by information, which usually signals a defendant has agreed to plead guilty and cooperate with prosecutors.

Martin is accused of knowingly and intentionally issuing a $985 money order without having previously received the money for it, the charging document, unsealed Tuesday, states.
