PHOTO: Earl of Elkview plays for Missouri riders

The Earl of Elkview, George Daugherty, played a musical number for Missouri American Legion Riders who stopped by the Charleston American Legion John Brawley Post 20 on Wednesday evening. The Missouri American Legion riders were en route from Washington D.C. to escort an American flag and a POW/MIA flag (seen at rear), that flew over the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in our nation’s capital. The flags will fly at the future sister wall to be built at Missouri National Veterans Memorial in Perryville, Missouri.

Members of the Missouri American Legion Riders stopped Wednesday night in Charleston as they made their way back to Missouri from Washington, D.C. The Earl of Elkview, George Daugherty, performed for the riders at the American Legion John Brawley Post 20. The riders are escorting an American flag and a POW/MIA flag that flew over the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington to Missouri where they will eventually fly over a sister wall being built at the Missouri National Veterans Memorial.
