Charleston Parks and Recreation is having a Children’s Festival from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday on Magic Island. Organizations from Charleston will come together to provide games, activities, giveaways. Vehicles from the city, county and state will be there for kids to climb on and to learn how they serve the community. The Kanawha County Bookmobile and a rock wall from the National Guard also will be at the festival. There is no cost to participate in this event or any of the activities at the event. Free tennis lessons
The Huntington Tennis Association in conjunction with the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District will be conducting free beginner tennis instruction clinics from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. two sessions each week from June 19 to Aug. 1 at the Ritter Park Tennis Center.
