A Michigan man will spend nine years in prison after bringing more than a pound of heroin into Huntington on a Greyhound bus.U.S. District Judge Robert Chambers sentenced Darius LaJuan Kincannon, 30, of Redford, Mich., to nine years and three months in prison Wednesday. Kincannon pleaded guilty in November to possession of heroin with intent to distribute in November, according to a statement from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin.Kincannon arrived in Huntington from Michigan on a Greyhound bus in February 2013 carrying a backpack. Huntington police officers seized the backpack at the bus station and searched it. Inside they found about 510.6 grams, 1.12 pounds, of heroin and a bottle of Superior Inosital, a vitamin compound commonly mixed with illegal drugs.Huntington police conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Greg McVey handled prosecution.
