Readers’ Vent: Sept. 8, 2017

I cannot figure out how every gas station in the Charleston area ran their gas up overnight from $2.29 to $2.79? Somebody give me an answer for that.

It was totally ridiculous today go to the DMV in Kanawha City to get license for my car. I got there at 10:10 a.m. and did not get out until 12:45 p.m. They had windows open but only about five. The room was completely full of people waiting. Something needs to be done about this.

The unions are like a great big hungry hog. They don’t want to share any work with the right-to-workers. That is a shame.

I see marriage license and divorces in the paper all the time. Most marriages don’t work out. I would like to see something positive. How about birth notices. That would be a good change.

You would think somebody in Morgantown would call Holgorsen in and tell him on the day of a football game you are making $3 million a year and you are going to shave or you are not going to be here very much longer. We can put up his crazy stuff on the sidelines but it makes me sick to see that man not shaved at a football game.

Why couldn’t Trump have waited and done something later about that DACA instead of when all these poor people are going through these tragedies. The country is in a hell of a mess but he does not care. He is the most non-compassionate evil person I have ever seen. God bless all those people and what they are going through.

The main reason I gave money to PBS was because of the British comedies on Saturday morning. Now that they are not on there I cannot feel any reason to pay for those stupid cartoons. Come on guys just bring them back. That was the only decent thing on there on Saturday morning. Otherwise I will have to just buy them myself.

I think the underground cinema is awesome. I go there to watch the movies. I do not go there to hear Larry Groce’s opinion on something. If I want that I will go to Mountain Stage. There are other people around this town. You do not have to be everywhere. Stay in your lane, Larry. Just go home.

So you are not going to vote for the road bond because Gov. Jim Justice changed parties. Typical Democrat. Putting party politics ahead of good roads and more jobs.

To all you people who are so lazy that you throw litter out of your car along the road. I am 70 years old and I have been picking up your trash. I almost got hit while doing it. Please throw your litter away in the trash not along the road.

This has to be the only place in the world that would build a sports complex on contaminated soil.

Patrick Morrisey has been such a red faced embarrassment to the fine citizens of West Virginia. A little carpet bagger who came here with his own agenda. He does not care what the citizens think. My opinion. I am entitled to it.

The U.S. Congress has become an impotent legislative body — no matter who is the majority. Instead of kicking the can down the road on important issues they now are only able to kick it down a few months. The WV Legislature is showing all the signs of becoming just like it.

To the person wondering about acid rain and killer bees. Thanks to the EPA, acid rain is nearly a thing of the past here in the U.S., killer bees have interbred with normal honeybees and become much less a threat as they moved north.

So people questioning or criticizing the president are now the “fashion police” instead on “Trump haters” now? Really? This venter should respect a person’s choice to disagree with him/her.

I would like to give a big shout out to Commissioner Ben Salango for taking away golf for all golf players especially the seniors and veterans. Where does he think were supposed to go now and what about the increases in cost to the people that can lest afford it. Way to go genius.

It is our road bond, not the governor’s. This bond will fix the roads, bridges and all the infrastructure that is crumbling under the very tires of every vehicle moving in our humble state. You go ahead and cling to your hatred for Gov. Justice but, please, please, vote for your and my road bond. This Democrat’s truck can’t last much longer on these roads.

President Trump immediately sent $1 million of his own funds to help people in Texas. Not one word was said about this in the mainstream media.
