Keysean Rhodes added 16 points for the Miners (16-4) with Drew Hatfield scoring 14 and Canaan Fletcher tacking on 11. MC led 29-24 at halftime.
Austin Woodrum scored 20 points to pace the Wildcats (13-8), with Seth Brooks contributing 15 points.
George Washington 62, Hurricane 42: Bunky Brown scored 15 points and visiting GW broke open a close game at the half in the MSAC fifth-place contest.
Traevon Isabell added 13 points and Tracy Conliffe 10 for the Patriots (16-4). Braxton Dobert had 15 points and Nick Muto 10 for the Redskins (9-12).
Sherman 47, Buffalo 38: Will Hensley scored 14 points, Tyler Pettry 10 and Sherman rolled to a win on the road.
Logan Hunt led Buffalo (5-13) with 18 points.
Poca 51, Herbert Hoover 48: Luke Frampton scored 16 points and Mitch Huffman added 15 to lead the Dots (15-5) to an overtime win over the Huskies (9-12) at Elkview.
Chase King had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds for the Huskies, who led at halftime 29-19.
Bluefield 56, Greenbrier East 46: Mookie Collier scored 23 points to lead the Beavers (17-3) to a road win over the Spartans (14-6).
Seth Brown scored 14 points and Cory Beswick 12 for the Spartans.
Calvary Baptist 96, Ballard Christian 78: Justice Hutchison scored 38 points, Calvary Baptist ended on a 25-5 run and the Patriots secured a berth into the West Virginia Christian Athletic Tournament in Summersville.
Top-seeded Calvary Baptist got 28 points from Carson Taylor, 13 from Luke Pauley and 12 from Zach Spears in dispatching No. 5 Ballard. Wesley Hedrick scored 36 points to lead the Eagles with Blake Bowles adding 19 and Patrick Mullins 17.
Calvary plays Greater Beckley Christian in the championship game at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Parkersburg South 92, Beaver Local (Ohio) 59: Shane Snider led the Patriots (10-10) in an Ohio Valley Athletic Conference tournament consolation game.
Bobby Plants added 14 points and Seth Fallon, Bobby Foggin and Cole Plants had 12 each for the Patriots. For Beaver, Chase Wilcox had 12 points and Luke Chatock had 11.
Charleston Catholic 48, Richwood 34: Vida Imani scored 18 points to go with 16 from Maddie Blaydes as Charleston Catholic (13-9) concluded its regular season with a win on the road.
Katie Mullins had 14 points to lead Richwood (7-15) with Erica Lawrence adding 13.
Tolsia 69, Tug Valley 32: Taylor Parsley led all scorers with 17, Mariah Finley scored 11 points to go with 11 assists and seven rebounds and host Tolsia advanced with a win in the Class A Region 4 Section 1 tournament.
Alyssa Cloud had 10 points as well for the second-seeded Rebels (13-10), who host No. 3 Sherman Tuesday in a sectional semifinal. Emily Colegrove scored 12 points to lead the Panthers.
Sherman 58, Hannan 27: Kendra Pannell poured in 28 points and had six assists and eight steals to pace the Tide (15-7) over the Wildcats (3-18) at home in a Class A Region 4 Section 1 matchup. Sherman will play at Tolsia Tuesday.
Dejah Busby added a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds for the Tide. For the Wildcats, Cassidy Duffer had nine points.
Thursday’s girls games
St. Albans 52, Ripley 42: Jaden McDaniels led all scorers with 14 points, St. Albans hit 20 of 26 free throws and the Red Dragons won the Mountain State Athletic Conference fifth-place game on the road. Alli Johnson and Haleigh Legg each tacked on 10 points for the Red Dragons (14-8). Lexi Miller had 13 points for the Vikings (9-13) with Presley Fisher adding 11 and Maggy Criser 10.
Ravenswood 80, Wahama 28: Claudia Cubides hit for 17 and Haylie Reynolds 15 to lead the Red Devils (11-12) over the White Falcons (2-21) in a Region 4 Section 1 quarterfinal matchup at Ravenswood. Hannah Rose led the White Falcons with 12 points.
