Football all-stater Owen Tillis transfers from Buffalo to George Washington

Owen Tillis, a first-team all-state defensive lineman and tight end, has transferred from Buffalo to George Washington for his senior season.

The 6-foot-3, 248-pound Tillis led the Bison in receiving last season, catching 21 passes for 442 yards and six touchdowns. He also occasionally lined up as a fullback and carried seven times for 72 yards and two TDs.

Tillis was selected to the Class A all-state first team as a defensive lineman following his junior season.

As a sophomore, Tillis had 20 receptions for 376 yards and nine touchdowns as the Bison posted a 10-0 regular season.
