Taylor Books will host a reading and book signing of Miles Dean’s latest book of poetry, “New River Reflections,” Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. The book works to capture West Virginia’s great beauty and the tragedy of the legacy being left for future generations, including the results of strip mining, mountaintop removal, extraction of oil and gas and more. Charleston Town Center Mall presents “Glam It Up! Sparkling Gowns & A Gorgeous Guy” on the Center Court runway Saturday at noon for the annual Spring Teen Fashion and Prom Runway Show.

Popular teen star Jake T. Austin, featured in ABC Family’s “The Fosters,” will take to the runway immediately following the fashion show for a free two-hour meet-and-greet. The first 200 fans will receive an autographed photo.

The city of Dunbar and the Dunbar Woman’s Club are sponsoring the city’s annual Easter egg hunt April 4 at Wine Cellar Park, 1101 Dutch Hollow Road, Dunbar.

The hunt begins at 10:30 a.m. for children ages newborn through kindergarten, and 11 a.m. for kids in first through eighth grades. Participants who find a golden egg will receive a trophy.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Charleston, located at 520 Kanawha Blvd. W., will host a “Meatout Monday” potluck, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, featuring music by Minnesota’s Shannon Murray and an exchange of information about following a plant-based diet. Downtown Charleston will hold its first ArtWalk of the 2015 season from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at participating galleries, studios and businesses.

Now in its 13th season, the free self-guided walking tour features a variety of art, from paintings and sculptures to photography and music, and attracts friends, business people and families.

ArtWalk venues range from bookstores and boutiques to antique stores and restaurants. Official ArtWalk maps are free and can be found on the ArtWalk website at www.artwalk and at participating venues.
