Best Bets: Capital City Art & Craft Show brings artisans to Charleston


The 51st Annual Capital City Art & Craft Show returns to the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center. The three-day event showcases local and regional artisans and offers handmade holiday gift ideas.

The Capital City Art & Craft Show returns for its 51st year to the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center this weekend.

The three-day event will showcase nearly 160 artists, artisans and crafters from around West Virginia, with representatives from six other states.

The show is a fundraiser for the charities of the Kanawha City Lions Club and, since its inception, has raised more than $2 million for state and local charities and more than $100,000 for local residents.

The art and craft show will be held from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from noon until 6 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults and $2 for children under 12.
