Funeral Parade returns to Capitol Street Saturday


Charleston’s Funeral Parade returns Saturday to Capitol Street in Charleston. The parade was part of the Charleston Regatta for years and survived the demise of the festival.

It’s a tradition that refuses to die. Charleston’s annual Funeral Parade returns to Capitol Street Saturday evening. This year’s Funeral Parade marshal is Hershel “Woody” Williams. The costume parade begins at 5 p.m. and is free to the public.
