“A STAR IS BORN”: R. A musician helps a young singer and actress find fame, even as age and alcoholism send his own career into a downward spiral. PP, M, N.

“VENOM”: PG-14. When Eddie Brock acquires the powers of a symbiote, he will have to release his alter-ego “Venom” to save his life. PP, M, N, TV.

“HELL FEST”: R. A masked serial killer turns a horror-themed amusement park into his own personal playground, terrorizing a group of friends while the rest of the patrons believe that it is all part of the show. PP, M, N, TV.

“NIGHT SCHOOL”: PG-13. The comedy follows a group of misfits who are forced to attend adult classes in the longshot chance they’ll pass the GED exam. PP, M, N.

“SMALLFOOT”: PG. An animated adventure for all ages, with original music and an all-star cast, Smallfoot turns the Bigfoot legend upside down when a bright young Yeti finds something he thought didn’t exist — a human. News of this Smallfoot throws the simple Yeti community into an uproar over what else might be out there in the big world beyond their snowy village, in an all new story about friendship, courage and the joy of discovery. “THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS”: PG. A young orphan aids his magical uncle in locating a clock with the power to bring about the end of the world. PP, M, N, TV.

“THE PREDATOR”: R. When a young boy accidentally triggers the universe’s most lethal hunters’ return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race. TV.

“A SIMPLE FAVOR”: R. Stephanie (Anna Kendrick), a mommy blogger, seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily’s (Blake Lively) sudden disappearance from their small town. M, N, TV.
