Summer food program begins today

On Wednesday, The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Charleston will begin serving free lunch and snacks for children 18 years of age and under through the federally funded Summer Food Service Program.

Meals and snacks will be served at the following locations:

n The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Charleston, 301 Tennessee Ave., Charleston

n The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Charleston (St. Albans Unit), 812 S. Carroll Street, St. Albans

Lunches will be provided to any child who shows up to either of those locations between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday through Aug. 2. Snacks will be provided from 2:15 to 2:45 p.m.
