Nature Night: Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1 Deerwalk Lane, Charleston, will continue continues its First Friday Fellowship events with Nature Night, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. It will include snacks and nature-oriented activities for kids of all ages, all at no charge.

Chelyan UMC Breakfast: The Chelyan United Methodist Church will hold its monthly breakfast today from 8:30-11 a.m.. They will be serving eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, homemade biscuits and gravy, apples, grits, pancakes and drinks. Donations are appreciated.
Yard Sale: The annual East Bank Town Yard Sale will take place starting at 9 a.m. today.
Fishing Day: The first-ever Campbells Creek Family Fishing Day and Watershed Improvement Day will be held today with registration at the Clay Bridge beginning at 9 a.m. and the event lasting until 2 p.m. The event is hosted by the Campbells Creek Women’s Club and sponsored by West Virginia American Water, the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources, and the WVDEP Watershed Improvement Branch. Fish will be stocked and participants are asked to bring their own pole and bait. Those under 16 will need to have an adult present. Look for signs for locations. Hot Dog/BBQ Sale: Elizabeth Baptist Church on Wolf Pen Drive in Charleston is holding a hot dog and barbecue sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Mayflower Descendants Society: Do you know or suspect there is a Pilgrim ancestor in your family tree? The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of West Virginia Society, established in 1948, will have a relaunching meeting commemorating its 70th anniversary. The luncheon will be held at 1 p.m. at Panera Bread in the Charleston Town Center. The speaker will be Dr. George Garmany, governor general of the GSMD, discussing the society and the 400th anniversary of the landing at Plymouth in 2020.
