The Sissonville Branch Library will hold a CPR training workshop at 1 p.m. Saturday. CPR will be taught by an authorized American Heart Association instructor. The workshop is free and optional certification will be available for $15. This training is offered in partnership with the Kanawha County Homeland Security and Emergency Management Department and Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority.
Trail Club hike
The Kanawha Trail Club will have a hike at noon Sunday at Kanawha State Forest’s Davis Creek Trail. Carpool from the parking lot at the corner of Ohio Avenue and Randolph Street, across from the post office. The trail is an easy 3-mile hike along Davis Creek to the pond and back.
Morgan’s Kitchen Museum open house
The historic Morgan’s Kitchen Museum, built in 1846, will be open from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at its location on MacCorkle Avenue in St. Albans, across from Parkway Flea Market. This museum has pre-Civil War pioneer items and cookware on display. There is no charge.
SC Housing Authority
The South Charleston Housing Authority will hold its regular meeting at 5 p.m. Monday at the administrative offices at 520 Goshorn St., South Charleston.
