Part of the parking lot at the Piggly Wiggly store on Spring Street in Charleston was taped off Monday morning, after a man was shot and killed in a residence across the street overnight.

A man was killed in a Charleston home overnight, police said.

Adam Swim, 40, was found by police inside a home in the 100 block of Ash Street shortly before 1 a.m. Monday, according to a news release from the Charleston Police Department. Swim had apparently been shot in the head, police said.
